Ladies and Gentlemen:

This Saturday morning found the following Team members ready for work on the North American Eagle™:John Winchester, Ed Shadle, Von Armstrong, Steve Wallace, Intern Laura Sawicki, Keith Zanghi, Chris Greene, and Larry Martinson.

Bayes family

Guest visitors today were Doug Bayes and his two very bright and interested sons, Brandyn and Andrew.  It is always a treat to watch our younger generation take the hangar tour and impress us with their depth of knowledge and interest in the science and engineering that goes into our jet car project. Keith took time out to be sure that their tour was a fruitful one as he explained the story behind our former F-104 Starfighter jet plane and its conversion into a jet car that will race for a record setting land speed of 800 mph.  The boys and their dad had their picture taken with Ed and Keith and which included Chris Greene.  Brandyn provided Chris and Keith with programming help on their FIRST Robotics Competition  last month.

Today John Winchester, team parachute specialist, arrived early to discuss with Ed some technical aspects of chute construction and deployment.  Later Steve Wallace worked at his electronics bench preparing wiring bundles for another Tropos Wireless IP Broadband Network antenna.

Laura wiped down and painted the newly modified loading ramp stands and applied some new stencils. Keith gave some welding instructions and help to Chris as he made some repairs to his bike frame.  And Larry, Keith and Ed continued the finishing work on the under fuselage panel compartment enclosures.
