Ladies and Gentlemen:

Today at the little hangar in Spanaway, Chris Greene, Steve Wallace, Keith Zanghi, Larry Martinson, Jon Higley, Sean Rondestvedt and Ed Shadle met to once again work on the North American Eagle™.

The first part of the day was spent re-installing the front steering box. You have been reading about how we completely dismantled and refurbished the entire steering and suspension system. It was a good thing too, because we found two cracked hydraulic fittings that would have come back to bite us later on. With everything repainted, lubed and reset, we slowly lifted into place the very heavy front steering box.

Thanks to some innovative tools built by Tom Tiede, the once cumbersome installation process of installing the front steering box simply slips into place with minimal effort. After all the bolts were tighten and hydraulic hoses hooked up, the team bled all the air out and performed a functional test to verify the results. Everything worked great!

Great progress is being made on our CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis as our aerodynamic team of Darren Grove, Ron Doll, Rex Walter and Mike Thoe have started reviewing the results of the massive computations taking place on our Lenovo C20 ThinkStations coupled with 3Dconnexion's SpacePilot™ Pro 3D Mouse. Once the exclusive domain of mainframes, desktop computing has reached a level where some of the most sophisticated software tools like Metacomp's CFD++, PointWise CFD Meshing Tools, Geomagic Studio Software , and Dassault Systèmes CATIA V5 and V6 design software can provide the competitive advantage so small companies can complete with the giants in the aerospace industry.

We invite you to see the brand new website of Lenovo. We are happy to say if you click on the Lenovo link for Professional Grade / C20 and D20 ThinkStations you can watch a video featuring Ed Shadle talking about the North American Eagle™ and how we use the Lenovo ThinkStations to design, build and analyze the complex innovative systems.

Don Mitchell has been working virtual on digital models of our front steering box which includes the steering and suspension systems. He is working with IDEX Solutions to create a Virtual 3D graphics in CATIA V6 showing a working hydraulic model of the steering system. We will debut this video and demonstration at COE in Orlando. Special thanks to Chris Maycock at Eagle Machine, Inc in Abbottsford BC for supplying the Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks drawing files. Chris created the initial design drawings. Don will bring them into CATIA V5 and add it to our archive of drawings.

Ed, Dr. Bob Brier, Jean-Pierre Houdin & Keith

And speaking of Dassault Systèmes and CATIA V6, two of the most amazing people we have ever met and become friends with are Dr Bob Brier and Jean-Pierre Houdin. You can read about their exciting research on the Great Pyramid at Giza and how he uses CATIA 3D to illustrate his theory's.

Ed, Keith and Steve Wallace will be traveling to Orlando, FL in early April to give a presentation at COE 2011 Annual PLM Conference and TechniFair. The three will be keynote speakers.
