Ladies and Gentlemen:

Today Jon Higley, Austin Waage, Omar Chramosta, Tom Tiede, John Drury, Sam Yellowbird, Keith Zanghi and Ed Shadle met at the North American Eagle™ assembly plant and continued work on the 763 mph World Land Speed Record Challenger. In the past week work is progressing on our CFD Solutions by our Aerodynamics Team of Darren Grove, Ron Doll, Rex Walter, and Mike Thoe. These guys work virtual at home on high powered Lenovo ThinkStations.

Tom, Jon and Ed spent most of the day preparing the mounts for the front wheel fairings. When done the fairings will be made of polyurethane rubber, made from molds built by Eagle Machine Inc in Abbottsford BC. The reason for using the rubber is because the fairing will be subjected high velocity sand blasting. The rubber will absorb the impact and maintain an aerodynamic shape. The process is extensive and involves a lot of people and resources to make happen.

Austin, Omar, and Keith finished drilling and painted the backup strips that secure our FOD prevention brushes. By the end of the day we were able to mark up another item on the to do list which gets shorter and shorter all the time. In the upcoming week, look for an announcement for our newest sponsor, EnSight. The team will have the use of EnSight Gold - HPC Visualization Software. EnSight is a post-processing software used to create graphics and movies of CFD Solutions from Metacomp's CFD++ Software.
