NAE™ Project:
Update

April 14, 2008

Ladies & Gentlemen:

Over the weekend Ed Shadle, Steve Wallace and Keith Zanghi traveled to Ypsilanti, Michigan, to visit the wonderful folks at INCAT  The three were there to give the presentation Challenging The World Land Speed Record to the INCAT North American PILM (Product Innovation Lifecycle Management) Summit.

Located in the main hall of the Eastern Michigan University the three were met with an enthusiastic and engaged group of INCAT Sales, Engineering and Marketing leaders.

Presenting at the conference

At the last minute, the team was given an extra half hour and was able to field questions and answers during the 1 ½ hour presentation.

INCAT has been a partner on the project and sponsor of the North American Eagle™ since the team's appearance at Aerospace Expo 2006.  The importance of INCAT to the progress of the team's goal to break the 763 mph land speed record cannot be over emphasized.  As Keith said during the presentation using the analogy of a conductor and orchestra, INCAT is the group that conducted the orchestra made up of Dassault Systèmes, FARO Technologies, and Verisurf Software.

At that time INCAT’s Larry Kuehn working with Chris Cripps, brought with him Mark TenEyck from Dassault Systèmes,  Ernie Husted from Verisurf Software, Mark Flubacher and Jeff Squibbs from FARO® Technologies to completely digitized the 56 foot long Eagle in the back parking lot of John Force Racing in Yorba Linda California.

Following CEO Warren Harris opening presentation, the three went with Communications Director Dan Saad and gave interviews that were captured on video that will be later used in an internal case study.

After the presentation, the three team members met with the INCAT employees at a meet and greet, followed by dinner.  It was a great day of networking with the INCAT leadership team and making new friends.

The team would like to thank Warren Harris, and Brian Cox (VP Marketing) for their time, insight and sharing their vision.  Chris Cripps (Business Development Manager) for all his emails and phone calls to bring us up to speed (and dinner with Larry Kuehn at the Hobbs restaurant).  Kristin von Bernthal, who was the INCAT conference co-Producer who coordinated our video presentation.  George, the DV Cam operator.  Nora Chabot, for taking care of all our travel and accommodations.  Lisa Mangel, for the support on our choice of flight suits. Kim, for sharing her adventures.  Laura for the great stories. And finally, all of the employees of INCAT who made us feel welcome with their outstanding hospitality.

Team North American Eagle™'s goal is to break the 763 mph world land speed record, but after the record is ours, it will be the journey along the way and the people who helped you that will be the moments we will remember most.  Thank you INCAT for the memories.

We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site.
